Top 10 Toy News Stories of 2014!
There has been a ton of news to hit this year and here is a look back at the top 10 news reports of 2014! It has been a real pleasure bringing our readers these stories and I know 2015 will be even better. These news posts come in no particular order and trust me, coming up with the top moments is no easy task.
1- New LEGO 2015 Pirates, Chima, Ninjago AND Ultra Agents First Images.
Yeah this was huge to say the least. LEGO fans are indeed diehard and we look forward to seeing these and more come ToyFair.
2- First New Images of Star Wars 2015
This story nearly broke the website. Of course it’s Star Wars so no secret there.
3- Breaking News!! Game of Thrones Legacy Collection First Images!!
These were the first official Action Figures from Funko and mix that with a major property such as Game of Thrones then you have a winner! Fans went nuts over these figures and this is just the start of the Legacy Collection. More properties will be added soon!
4- Hot Toys Announces New Star Wars 1/6th and 1/4 scale Line!!
Hot Toys officially entered into the 1/6 scale Star Wars collectibles and so far their offerings have been spectacular. Chewi, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Stormtrooper and Obi-Wan will change the game for sure and this is just the beginning. Out of all the news for 2014, this one caught a lot of people by surprise.
5- ROBOTECH 30TH ANNIVERSARY PRE ORDERS ARE HERE!!
This news was met with a ton of fan interest and while we still wait, this line has some high marks to live up to. Build the hype and you better deliver the goods. Hopefully these will be released sometime in January.
6- 6″ BLACK SERIES DELUXE WAVE 2 BOXED IMAGES! LUKE, WAMPA, HAN AND TAUNTAUN
Star Wars fans were treated to boxed images of some highly anticipated Star Wars 6″ Black series figure sets. These will surely make the top 10 toys of 2015.
7- Wonder Festival Summer 2014: Revoltech & Medicom!
Wonder Festival gave us our first look at the Revoltech and Medicom Star Wars line! It was a good day when these images hit. When news broke that these and a few other companies got the rights to produce Star Wars collectibles the internet almost broke.
8- G.I. Joe Vintage Jumbo Action Figures SDCC 2014!!
By far this was one of the top stories of 2014. No one never thought that Gentle Giant would ever tackle the GI Joe line. As of now, we have 2 pre-orders up and hopefully a ton more. This is where it started folks so check it out again!
9- JURASSIC WORLD HASBRO TOY LISTINGS HAVE HIT ONLINE!!
This news report “confirmed” that new Jurassic World toys would be coming in 2015! Fans have high hopes for this line and we all hope Hasbro does these right.
10- BREAKING NEWS! MCFARLANE TOYS LAUNCHING THE WALKING DEAD BUILDING BLOCK SETS
McFarlane set out to change how we view and build block sets and boy did they succeed with flying colors. Fans love Walking Dead and mix that with “high” end building block sets is a pure win.
