The Black Series 6" will be one hot commodity come Friday night. Force Friday is almost upon us and we all have our shopping lists. One thing high on mine is the 6" Black figures. SDCC did not give us much in terms of news for the basic Star Wars figure line and I know fans are unhappy. We are here to let you all know that the end is not here but a new beginning is at hand. Before I finish this commentary, I hope some of you will agree with our stance. Now lets dive in and see what we got.
Mark Huber of the 6" Black Series Collectors ((Star Wars)) Facebook group has received his Episode 7 Stormtrooper from Viperskingdom. First impressions are crucial to any new line and this one is nice. Hasbro went all in with this sculpt and guess what? You can now clip on the blaster rifle on his leg! Minor tweaks like that are exciting and I know a few who cant wait to get this figure in hand. Just take note that this might not be the final production piece and Hasbro has yet to confirm his actual existence. You can check out the images below!
Viperskingdom has posted what appears to be a Star Wars 6" Black EP7 Stormtrooper. Viperskingdom is known for getting in unreleased product well before an official street date so this could very well be the real thing. The Force Awakens product will be here soon enough as the release date is coming up quick! No word from Hasbro concerning the legitimacy of this item but we do feel it's real. Once we have more info we will post it up but for now you can check out the auction by clicking the link above.
Thanks to both Jedi Temple Archives and the Star Wars Saga Legends & Mission Series Facebook page, we now have confirmation on a Star Wars large exclusive set. Coming this fall will be a Black Series Jabba's Rancor Pit. While the large sets seem to lag at retail, this one looks pretty darn good. No word on price point just yet but it could very well hit the $200 mark. Check out the image below!
Our friends over at starwarsfiguren.com got some awesome boxed images of the upcoming Princess Leia (Boushh Disguise) wave and they look killer! Also included in this wave is IG-88 and Commander Cody from EP3. Look for these to hit this Summer and be on the lookout for new pre-orders to hit. Last month Hasbro had the E-Tailers to cease all orders until a later date. Also do not forget that Gentle Giant had a hand in developing the Leia! Check out the images below!
IG-88 is one hot puppy and soon he will be yours. Coming in hot from Stephen Hayford - Plastics, is a preview of this amazing character. Hasbro went above and beyond with this figure and he will be hot when released. Check out the detail on IG-88 and ask yourself, how can I pass this up??! The short answer is you can't.
We have some interesting news to share concerning some potential Star Wars Black 6" changes. It seems Hasbro sent out a message to Dorkside Toys asking them to pull orders for the next wave of Star Wars Black Series 6″ Figures. No word on why BUT more than likely it is to shift some cases or case packouts. Sales can resume come May 3rd. Here is the tweet from Dorkside. Hasbro have asked all sellers to remove the Commander Cody Black Series Wave for sale. Sales can resume May 3rd.pic.twitter.com/YXSyEAeB7k — Dorksidetoys (@Dorksidetoys) March 10, 2015
