1995 saw the return of Star Wars figures to store retail shelves with a new Power of the Force line (the first Power of the Force line was released 10 years previous in 1985) While I and many other fans were enjoying all of the new figures and re-released vehicles, that Christmas brought one of my favorite childhood toys back to the shelves.....The Imperial Speeder Bike!
Continuing with our look at spooky toys this week, we've got an old one for all the preschoolers out there, the Weebles Haunted House.
While not exactly "spooky" this week's entry is from one of the greatest action films in a Horror franchise. We're talking about the film Aliens. This week we're looking at the Reaction 3 pack that includes Ellen Ripley, A Power Loader & the Alien Queen!
Continuing with our collection of Halloween like toys, we're looking at a little known Glow in the Dark toyline called Glow Ghosts.
The spooky month of October is upon us so for the entire month we're going to be looking at Horror/Halloween related toys. Kicking us off is a figure of my favorite Horror icon, Jason Voorhees! The figure in question is the 12 inch Sideshow Jason Voorhees from the movie Friday the 13th Pt 6
1989 saw the release of a new series of Pretenders Transformers. The Pretenders were Transformers hidden inside shells disguised as humans, monsters and even vehicles. The second series featured one of my favorites, Bludgeon.
In the late 70's Mattel released the Shogun Warriors toyline. The toyline was made from imported robots from multiple different anime and included different sized figures from 3" tall to the 24" tall "Jumbo Machinders" subset of Shogun Warriors. 1977 saw the release of the shortest Shogun Warrior in the Jumbo Machinders subset, Godzilla!
For this week's Random Toys, we're taking a look at an entire toy line rather than just one toy! Since it is the 50 year anniversary of Star Trek, I thought we'd take a look at one of my favorite Star Trek toylines, the Galoob Star Trek The Next Generation line.
This past SDCC saw a lot of Masters of the Universe releases by Super7, One of which caught my eye immediately. This week's random toy is the MOTU MUSCLE Trash Can set.
Transformers were huge when they came out in the 80's and when you have a hit toyline, you're going to have knock offs start coming out of the wood work. Transformers were no exception to this. Most of the time knock offs are cheaper and less desirable than the originals, but in some cases, they can wind up cooler than what they're knocking off. Such is the case with today's Random Toy, the Transistor Robots Insect made by Four Star
Toys based on Civil War have been trickling out the past few months and this week we're looking at one of the newest ones, the Toys R Us exclusive Civil War Minimates Falcon & Antman set.
