New Aliens, DC, Marvel Hitting Store Now

The first of the year brings new toys and right now tons are hitting. Lanard has released several, relativity inexpensive Alien sets. These are all exclusive to Walmart and well, they look great! It’s nice seeing new Alien merchandise on the shelf and I do dig the colors.One set that really stands out is the APC vehicle set. While it is small I see some potential here.

Not to be outdone, Hasbro has released not one BUT two waves of Marvel Legends. We have both Spider-man and Fantastic Four. Spidey was crowding the pegs and this Walmart had no room for the FF wave (which was stacked on the overhead). The only new Transformers we saw hitting was the vintage Astrotrain rerelease. In fact, the Transformers section is looking pretty baren. Not as bad as Star Wars but still. Now for Star Wars we had zilch. News just came through yesterday that many distributors were told that Rise of Skywalker Vintage collection was no more. Hasbro canceled the wave. Series 2 is in doubt as well so I sure hope you guys got them when you saw them. Wave 3 should be soon enough though. 
 

Finally new DC figures from both Spin Master and McFarlane are hitting. I was surprised by both lines as they seem quite nice. Nothing that Needless Toys would cary but nice. I do plan to purchase some of the McFarlane figures just to see how evolved the articulation is with these figures. The last thing we saw was new Scooby Doo sets from Playmobil. I know most of you guys don’t collect Playmobil stuff but their licensed sets are killer. Check out Ghostbusters if you need a good example.
