DST had several surprises this year and a packed booth. DST is growing each year and with the addition of Gentle Giant, DST will soon need a bigger booth for Toy Fair! More properties are being added and plenty more could be coming! Some of the highlights include:
Playmobil had a wonderful showroom this year and for the very first time, we get to see the toys for the Playmobil movie! Yes there is a movie on the way and yes, the toys look amazing. There will be 2 series for the bling bags and look for playsets to coincide with the movie! Besides the movie toys, Playmobil also showcased toys for the new How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
Bandai showcased new releases for Dragon Ball, Godzilla and Big Hero 6. They will be introducing larger Dragon Ball figures this year in a 5 POA format and the retail price will be around 10-12 dollars each. Bandai will also be releasing a new 5 inch scale assortment and each figure will be highly articulated. Dragon Ball Stars will continue and look for more waves throughout the year.
DC Collectibles showcased several new lines this weekend. One particular line was a complete surprise and it was the Batman Animated Series figures! Most of us thought this line was done and with the inclusion of new characters, i'm excited once again. We also have new statues, new Luchadores, DC Prime are just a few new lines. We also have that wonderful Death statue and that new Gentle Giant life size Harley Quinn statue as well. In fact, here is a good listing of what's new!
Banpresto is the ones responsible for some amazing and very affordable Anime kits. Each release is a one shot deal and if you miss something you are out of luck. This year they were showcasing the April or Spring releases and we have the photos from the booth. Take note of what you want and
By now everyone knows I am a fan of Cobi and their replica WWII kits. This year it was all about the Battleships and boy, were they incredible. The USS Missouri, Yamato and the Musashi were all on display. We also have some new tanks and aircraft as well.

Kotobukiya had a smaller display this year but what they had was pure quality. Star Wars has slowed down but their Marvel license is still strong. Mix that with GI Joe and a few others and you have a winner. Bishoujo statues are still going strong and we have a few new reveals here as well. Take a look at the full gallery below.
