Dark Horse has some nifty plans in place for Firefly and crew. What are they you ask? We are not sure but I trust Dark Horse with this property. Look what they did for Star Wars! Joss Whedon's beloved Firefly series and Serenity film's lifespan may have been short-lived, but managed to produce one of the most dedicated fanbases in the history of modern science fiction. Dark Horse is proud to be able to keep Mal and his crew flying with new comics and products. Look for the hashtag #WheresSerenity over the next few months on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages for exclusive news on the future of the franchise at Dark Horse!
Each week I try and post a sneak peak of some books hitting the news stand. This week will be rough as I see a huge comic bill in my future. Some of the stand out tittles include EAST OF WEST, SAGA. WD, BATMAN and so much more! I only picked 11 for the week but trust me, this is not even half of my pull. Enjoy! Also make sure you check us out on FB as I will be posting the full list of releases very soon for you all. Before I begin, I will try and stay spoiler free but I might let something slip. Consider this a spoiler warning now. What a solid issue we have this month and I tell you, this book keeps getting better and better each issue. Brian Wood and Ryan Kelly are churning out some amazing work. In fact the entire team is producing some of the finest Star Wars stories ever told in comic format. The overall pace and structure of the issue is spot on and unlike other books, the jumping around makes sense. You have 3 major plot points going on in this issue and they are: 1- Luke and Wedge are on board the Star Destroyer Devastator 2- Han is facing some old enemies 3- Leia encounters something from an old era long gone.
You ready for Itty Bitty Hellboy? Yeah I know you are. Here is something special sent down from Dark horse. Enjoy!
Each week I will try and pick the top 10 new books. Now this is what I think will be hot and there is no scientific data to back it (in other words sales figures). This is something we could have fun with and if you feel I am off the mark then let me know in the comments section. Who knows, maybe I will pick your books next week.
Oh how I love my Star Wars books and I am thankful for Darkhorse Comics continued dedication to the brand. This summer you can score a variant copy of issue 7 at SDCC! I would love to have this issue and with that said, someone score me a copy!
