Find out as she takes the Marvel Universe by storm! As Kamala discovers the dangers of her newfound powers, she unlocks a secret behind them as well. Is Kamala ready to wield these immense new gifts? Or will the weight of the legacy before her be too much to handle? Kamala has no idea either. But she’s comin’ for you, New York! It’s history in the making from acclaimed writer G. Willow Wilson (Air, Cairo) and beloved artist Adrian Alphona (Runaways)!
Kaila Burtch wrote a great article on why you should pay attention to this comic. It is one of the best new series to come out this year. Kamala Khan is a believable and relatable hero, with noble intentions. This is the kind of hero that makes me really wish for characters aging in real time, just because it allows stories like her to gain more a sense of importance. This is the book for someone that is growing tired of super-heroes or complains about the role of women in comics. This is also the book to buy for your daughter, as Kamala is a role model, and there just have not been enough of those in comics lately.
