The pending liquidation of Toys R Us has been delayed. A court junction was issued yesterday stalling the sales. Reports are circling that vendors are requesting their merchandise back due to a lack of payment AND stores did not receive the proper signage. We were told that the sales could start as early as Friday or be completely moved to a different date. Information was also relaid that the bid to save some of the stores has failed.

Toys R Us has released an official press release detailing their plan for closure. One thing to take note is there is a small chance that 200 stores could be saved and moved into the Canadian TRU division. It is yet to be seen if this will take place. As of today the company is moving towards the 60 day window to shutter the US division so lets hope a few can be saved. If Toys R Us closes, this will be a massive blow to the toy industry.
By now most of you should have seen the series final of Star Wars Rebels and what an ending we had. It was filled with wonder, tears and laughter. It's been long enough that I feel like I can get back to the task that I set for myself back when I last wrote Reviews of Old Comics on a weekly basis, the coverage of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the era that I got hooked on them. This issue is actually one that I didn't read until many years later. In the 1980s, Annuals were a little harder to come by than they are now. These were the days before comics were exclusively in comic shops. The direct market was still in its infancy, with DC still in the first year of it's line specifically for comic shops. Often, one wouldn't know an Annual was coming out until it was seen on the newsstand or spinner racks. Some vendors might not even carry the Annuals. Many times, the Annuals would be self-contained stories and if it was missed or overlooked, a reader wouldn't even realize it for months.
